San Francisco Reports Results of Last Enforcement Event of Summer Mobilization

During the last enforcement event of the San Francisco Avoid crackdown on impaired drivers in the City, police officers arrested one person on suspicion for driving while under the influence of drugs, said Sgt. Neil Swendsen of the San Francisco police.

Officers from SFPD and the United States Park Police conducted six DUI investigations and towed 13 cars of people driving without proper licenses.

The 18-day crackdown, which began on Aug. 21, ends at midnight Monday.

The event is funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Administration.
