SAN FRANCISCO AVOID CAMPAIGN ON LOOKOUT FOR IMPAIRED DRIVERS OVER HALLOWEEN WEEKEND

Police from all over the City will keep their eyes peeled for impaired-driving suspects over the Halloween weekend, said Capt. Greg Corrales of the San Francisco Police Department’s Traffic Company.

“It makes it worse when Halloween falls on a weekend rather than a weekday because it offers several days for people to drink too much and get behind the wheel,” he said.

The next anti-DUI push is set for Dec. 18 to Jan. 3 of next year, a period of 18 days, said Corrales.

Funding for San Francisco Avoid comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
