TWO DUI ARRESTS, 19 CITATIONS AT LAST NIGHT’S SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT IN SAN FRANCISCO

 Police made two DUI arrests and cited 19 people for not having proper driver’s licenses at a sobriety checkpoint last night on South Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco. It began at 8:30 p.m. and ended at 2 a.m.

Officers from the San Francisco police, U.S. Park police, San Francisco State University police, the California Highway Patrol and City College police staffed the enforcement event, said Sgt. Neil Swendsen of SFPD.

The checkpoint was funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
